Dr. Brown facilitated the refinement and prioritization of the Centers goals with Center Director Dr. Woodrow Whitlow Jr. and all of his executive level direct reports. Dr. James T. Brown’s Project Scheduling Methodology Patent is sold to Intellectual Property Ventures

Orlando, Florida (March 15, 2006) The University of Central Florida, owner of Dr. Brown’s patent for a project scheduling methodology, announced that the patent was recently sold to Intellectual Property Ventures. The patent was an outcome of Dr. Brown’s dissertation research while at the University of Central Florida as a graduate student. Initially the University balked at the idea of patenting a scheduling method. Dr. Brown stated that he was surprised the patent sold after so many years on the shelf, but was pleased and hopeful that practical value in the research will be fully recognized. Dr. Brown has assisted a major project software vendor with the development of their product that is still in use today.

The article chronicles the success of NASA’s Industrial Engineering for Safety Program. Dr. Brown has supported the Industrial Engineering for Safety Program since it’s inception with program definition and value based project selection services.

Dr. James T. Brown Awarded NASA Public Service Medal

President of SEBA™ Solutions Inc. awarded one of NASA’s highest honors.

Cape Canaveral, Florida. (August 4, 2005) - Dr. James T. Brown president of SEBA™ Solutions Inc. was awarded a Public Service Medal from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. (NASA).

The NASA Public Service Medal is one of the highest-level awards available to non-NASA employees, and is granted for exceptional contributions to NASA’s mission. This award honors Dr. Brown’s significant contributions to NASA’s Space Shuttle Program Strategic Planning Summit process over the past several years. Dr. Brown has provided key facilitation, value based project selection and decision analysis support to the strategic planning process. Additionally, he has provided NASA co-op’s and summer students with seminars on Career Management and Excelling in College.
