Course Description:
This course will provide participants the ability to develop and analyze
metrics in order to quickly identify problems and opportunities for improvement. Additionally,
participants
will learn to establish meaningful performance metrics for contracts and service level
agreements. Also, the knowledge gained will allow participants to effectively critique
data and information to ensure its validity. This course will provide attendees powerful
methods to substantiate decisions with metric data.

- Establish meaningful
metrics for processes
- Identify natural variation (noise) and special cause variation
(a positive or negative change)
- Construct and interpret control charts for metric data
- Critique metrics to ensure valid
data
- Avoid the most common errors in metric development and evaluation
